Live Herb Nursery

This is a really interesting site. Live Herb Nursery, also known as The Tea Plant Place, sells tea plants. It's a small family run business that offers varieties of the species Camellia sinensis so you can have green, oolong or black tea. According to the site, "All teas are made from the same plant, Camellia sinensis. The varieties are Tea plants that have lived in certain areas of the world and have developed some of their own characteristics." They also tell you how to process your own teas. Go visit them soon. You'll be glad you did.

Carnivorous plants

I'm sure you've heard of the venus flytrap and even the cobra lily, but how about a butterwort or a sundew? These and more carnivorous plant varieties are available at bugbitingplants.com. This site sells plants and seeds along with carnivorous plant potting supplies. It's a good resource and interesting site to visit.

Specialty Perennials

I was surfing for information today and came across Specialty Perennials. This nursery was started in 1987 and is located in Apple Valley, Minnesota. They sell plants locally and some over the web, but are specializing in seed sales online. Seed prices average about $2.00 although a pardancanda norrisii costs $3.95 while a paeonia tenuifolia (fern leaf peony) is priced at $4.95. Pictures are scarce as are common names, so you'll need to know what you're looking for. According to my friends at Perennial Nursery, pardancanda norrisii, by the way, is a candy lily.
